ABOUT YÙIN
Where feelings take form.
YÙIN started with my love for gemstones — especially HeTian Jade, which is Nephrite Jade.
Not a business plan.
Not a big idea.
Just one piece of jade that somehow made me stop and look a little longer.
I was drawn to its colour, texture, and the little imperfections that made it feel so unique. It made me wonder:
How can one stone be so different from another?
The more I looked, the more I wanted to understand.
And that curiosity eventually led me to pursue my studies at NGTC (National Gemstone Testing Centre) in Guangzhou,
where I began to see gemstones in a completely different way.
Every stone has its own character. And the more I learned, the more fascinated I became.
Growing up around Eastern culture,
I also knew that gemstones and jewellery could carry meaning — a wish, a blessing, a new beginning, or simply something that keep close.
So I started wondering…
What if we could bring that meaning into the way we live today?
That became YÙIN.
I wanted to explore gemstones beyond the traditional way of wearing them. Jade can stand on its own, or meet another gemstone. Different materials can come together in unexpected ways. There doesn't have to be one fixed way of doing it.
For me, what matters is that a piece feels right — and that it means something to the person wearing it.
Sometimes it starts with a stone.
Sometimes it starts with a feeling.
And somehow, that became my little belief:
ONE STONE. ONE FEELING. ONE STORY.
THE ORIENTAL, REIMAGINED.
We are inspired by the quiet beauty of jade, the symbolism found in Eastern culture,
and the details found in the world around us.
But we don't believe gemstones need to exist within boundaries.
Jade can meet pearls.
Gemstones can meet one another.
Traditional forms can take on new shapes.
Different materials can come together to create something unexpected.
YÙIN explores these possibilities through jewellery — bringing together natural gemstones, pearls, metals and other materials in ways that feel contemporary, personal and distinctly our own.
We don't want to simply recreate the past.
We want to reinterpret it.
Old meaning • New form.
MORE THAN JEWELLERY.
That's why we don't want YÙIN to simply be a place where you buy jewellery.
We want it to be a place where you find something that feels like you.
Something that marks a moment.
Something that carries a wish.
Something that stays.
To us, gemstones are not just materials.
They hold colour, texture, imperfection, character — and sometimes, a feeling that is difficult to put into words.
OUR NAME
YÙIN • 玉隐
玉 · Yù (Jade)
Inspired by the quiet beauty of jade — shaped by nature, time, and no two stones ever quite the same.
Jade is where our story began, but our world extends beyond it — to gemstones, pearls and other materials, brought together in our own way.
隐 · Yǐn (Quiet / Unrevealed)
To us, Yǐn is not about hiding.
It is about being quietly present — something to be discovered, appreciated and kept close.
YÙIN was born from two ideas — 玉 (Yù) and 隐 (Yǐn).
Together, YÙIN reflects what we hopes to bring into modern everyday life: the quiet beauty and meaning of the East, reimagined through contemporary jewellery.
Which means,
Every piece carries its own light — revealed quietly over time, shaped by nature, and made beautiful in its own way.

As YÙIN grows, we hope to keep exploring gemstones, materials and the beauty of Eastern heritage, while finding new ways to make them feel relevant to modern life.
A bridge between where we come from and how we live today.

YÙIN is still young.
There are stones we haven't discovered, stories we haven't told, pieces we haven't explored and ideas we haven't dreamed of yet.
We're still learning, still exploring, still becoming.
And perhaps that's what makes this beginning so special.
