AUTHENTICATION GUIDE

KNOW WHAT YOU WEAR

OUR PROMISE

At YÙIN, we believe you should know what you're wearing.

Every gemstone is carefully selected, and the material details of each piece are clearly stated on its product page.

YÙIN may work with NQTC or other independent third-party examination centres, depending on the piece. The issuing institution will always be stated on the certificate provided with your piece.

YOUR CERTIFICATE

A certificate is more than a piece of paper.

It gives you information about the gemstone that has been examined — including its identification, weight, colour, natural characteristics and relevant remarks.

A certificate helps identify the material of your piece. It does not determine the market value of the gemstone.

Your certificate may include details such as:

CERTIFICATE NO.
The unique identification number assigned to the certificate.

CONCLUSION
The gemstone material identified by the testing institution.

TOTAL MASS
The weight of the submitted piece as stated on the certificate.

COLOUR
The colour recorded during examination.

MAGNIFICATION
Observations of the gemstone's natural mineral characteristics under magnification.

REMARK
Additional identification information recorded by the testing institution.

For example, 翡翠 (A货) indicates natural jadeite grade A under the certificate's identification terminology. If a jadeite piece has undergone treatment, the certificate may instead state 翡翠 (处理) which means grade B or grade B+C.

PRODUCT IMAGE
The image of the submitted piece shown on the certificate, allowing you to compare it with the piece you receive.

VERIFY IT YOURSELF

There are two ways to verify your certificate.

METHOD 01 — SCAN THE QR CODE

If your certificate carries a QR code, simply scan it with your phone.

You will be directed to the official verification website of the issuing examination centre, where you can view the corresponding certificate record.

Compare the information shown online with the certificate you received, including the certificate number, product image and identification details.

METHOD 02 — VERIFY THROUGH THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE

You can also verify the certificate yourself without scanning the QR code.

Visit the official website of the examination centre that issued your certificate and enter the required information stated on the website.

Depending on the examination centre, this may requires your piece informaiton:

Certificate Number
Total Mass / Weight
or other verification details requested by the institution.

Always use the official verification website of the issuing institution rather than an unrelated third-party website.

Feel free to reach out to us anytime. We’re always happy to help you understand your piece a little better. 🤎

WHAT WE MEAN BY NATURAL?

At YÙIN, we work with natural gemstones selected for their individual character and beauty.

We do not intentionally offer dyed, colour-enhanced or filled gemstones as natural gemstones. Where a treatment or enhancement is relevant to a particular piece, it will be disclosed in the product description.

A LITTLE MORE ASSURANCE

YÙIN does not ask you to simply take our word for it.

Where certification is provided, we encourage you to verify the certificate independently through the examination centre's official verification system.

For selected pieces, YÙIN also personally submits the gemstone for examination before it reaches you.

The examination centre and certification details will vary depending on the piece, and the relevant information will be provided with your piece.

Wear it. Know it. Keep it.
